Nashville is a community of passionate people who care about the world around them. Planting a garden, painting schools, tutoring a child—ask most any Nashvillian, and they’ll tell you that they spend a portion of their time doing something to help address the issues they care about most. It’s one of the things that makes Nashville such a wonderful place to live.

This blog is all about capturing that spirit of volunteerism and sharing it with the world. We’ll feature stories about incredible volunteers, information about upcoming opportunities, and guest posts from Middle Tennesseans about their volunteer experiences. Hands On Nashville meets community needs through volunteerism.

It all started with one Nashvillian’s desire to find meaningful ways for people to volunteer back in 1991. Read more about our story here.
